Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, absolutely! We recommend starting with our Essentials Reformer or All Levels Mat classes and attending 5–10 sessions to build a strong foundation before progressing. Our instructors will always offer modifications to accommodate a range of abilities and support you throughout.

  • Absolutely!

If you are pregnant, you are welcome to attend:

    • Mat Pilates up until 20 weeks ( NO HOT CLASSES)

    • Reformer Pilates in our ESSENTIALS class up until 20 weeks.

After 20 weeks, we are no longer able to accommodate pregnancy in group classes. We plan to add a pre-natal class very soon to our schedule where you’ll be able to attend past the 20 weeks.

You also have option to switch to private sessions for more personalised support.

And of course, make sure to consult your doctor or midwife before attending class, and let us know you are pregnant when booking.

For membership adjustments for these special circumstances, please email us at hello@bohdistudio.u

  • First and foremost, seek advice from the most relevant professional that has been dealing with your injury e.g you doctor, physio or chiropractor. If you have received the go-ahead, then please let your instructor know before class.

If you are unable to attend due to injury, you must email us with a doctor’s note so that we can make any amendments to your membership.

  • It all depends on your lifestyle and what works for you, but if you can, we highly recommend attending classes at least once a week to feel the difference. Most clients find they get the best results by attending 2-3 times.

  • A water bottle, comfortable clothes that you can easily move in and of course, your lovely self. We ask that you wear socks during reformer classes, ideally grippy ones to reduce the risk of slipping. Don’t worry if you don’t have any- grip socks are available to buy at the studio, as well as a water fountain if you need it.

Any extra belongings you may have can be stored in a locker located in our locker room. We also have a space you can change in or out of your activewear

  • There is on-street parking directly outside the studio (only suitable for classes before 8:30 am and after 6:30 pm). You’ll also find many spaces on Gervis Road and Manor Road (a 1-3 minute walk). Make sure to check the time limits on these. There is free all-day parking available on Annerley Road (a 3-4 minute walk). And the nearest car park is Cotland’s Road Car Park, just a 4-minute walk away.

We made sure to be based somewhere in the BH1 area that gives you a variety of options for parking, but do bear in mind that we are quite central, so parking can be hard during peak times. Please allow yourself plenty of time for this.
